Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation is the global benchmark for hospital quality and patient safety. To earn it, a hospital must meet more than a thousand standards covering infection control, surgical safety, medication management and emergency readiness. Our partner hospital is fully accredited and inspected regularly.
Every BBL Turkey procedure takes place in a fully equipped operating theatre with laminar airflow, continuous patient monitoring and modern anaesthesia workstations. The hospital has an on-site intensive care unit, its own blood bank and a dedicated anaesthesiology team, so specialist support is available immediately should it ever be needed. Your anaesthetist meets you before surgery to review your health and explain your anaesthetic plan.
Our location in Nişantaşı and Şişli
The hospital sits on the border of Nişantaşı and Şişli, two of Istanbul's most elegant and convenient neighbourhoods. Nişantaşı is known for its tree-lined streets, boutiques and cafés, making it a pleasant and safe area for gentle walks during recovery. Pharmacies, restaurants and green spaces are all within a few minutes of the hospital. The district is around 45 minutes from Istanbul Airport and well connected to the city's main sights for patients who wish to explore before surgery.
Your patient journey
Every stage of your stay is planned in advance and shared with you in writing before you travel:
- Arrival. A VIP driver meets you at the airport arrivals hall and takes you directly to your hotel.
- Pre-operative day. You attend the hospital for blood tests, an ECG and a face-to-face consultation with your surgeon, who finalises your surgical plan and markings.
- Surgery day. You are admitted in the morning, cared for by the surgical and anaesthesiology teams, and recover in a private room.
- Hospital stay. Most patients stay one or two nights, with your surgeon reviewing you each day.
- Hotel recovery. You return to your hotel to rest, with scheduled check-ups and lymphatic drainage sessions before your fit-to-fly assessment.
5-star hotel partners and VIP transfers
We partner with carefully selected 5-star hotels within a short drive of the hospital. Rooms are chosen for comfort during recovery, with easy lift access and room service. A companion can stay with you at no extra hotel cost on most packages. All journeys between the airport, hotel and hospital are made in private, air-conditioned VIP vehicles, so you never need to arrange taxis or navigate the city yourself.
A 24/7 patient coordinator
From your first enquiry you are assigned a personal English-speaking coordinator. They organise your travel schedule, accompany you to hospital appointments, translate where needed and are reachable by phone or WhatsApp at any hour during your stay. For many patients, knowing that someone is always available is the single most reassuring part of the experience.
Aftercare that continues at home
Your care does not end when you fly home. Before departure you receive a written recovery plan, your compression garments and any prescribed medication. Your surgeon then reviews your progress by video at two weeks, six weeks, three months and twelve months, and your coordinator remains available throughout for questions or concerns.
